Day programme and features

Would you like to help make The Asylum one of the greatest events of the year?  Here is your chance to get involved in the day and evening programmes.

Performers - We are still looking for performers for some of our variety shows specifically "The Major's Soiree" and "Oh Dear What Would the Major Say" our adult themed and burlesque night.  Please download and return a completed performers form as quickly as possible.

Programme Items - Would you like to contribute to the day programme. Perhaps give a talk or lecture or stage an entertainment or feature? These are generally fifty minute programme slots.  Download the form here and return it for consideration for 2012.

PLEASE NOTE:  We are sorry but we are not looking for paid street entertainers, walkabout performers etc  for this event. 

The Krakens' Den - Do you have a steampunk product or business idea? Would you like an oppotunity to work with some of the UK's leading steampunks to make your idea a reality.  Bring it to the Krakens' den, float it on front of a live audience and maybe secure the support of Tinker, Herr Doktor, Dr Geof and Arkwright and maybe an investment of up to £1000.

Opening Ceremony - after some requests by Asylum goers we will this year be holding a grander and more colourful opening ceremony which includes a parade of banners representing groups, societies, crews, collectives an other organisations on Saturday morninh in the Castle.  Banners will then be displayed in the Castle over the weekend.  Entries of banners with colour parties of up to four people can be made using the form below.
